I was eating here a lot this year. It was a great place imo. The girls at the counter were nice. The food was good. Price was great. I didnt realize I already gave it a Yelp review of 4 stars in 2017. I duno why I gave it only 4 stars. It definitely deserved a 5 star review. So I am giving it a final update lol. I went by on July 1st, 2024 to get a burrito. I just found out they closed down. Sad. Recession or quasi recession makes times tough on all of us.

This place is located in the Walmart shopping center on Elk Grove Blvd. It's a small little place on the corner of the shopping center. You can see it driving by on Elk Grove Blvd. They have a daily special menu for each day of the week. They have a wide variety of different kinds of tacos. You just choose your protein. They also have burritos, nachos, and among other things on the menu. The place is small, but there are tables you can sit to eat. The staff was nice. We ordered their fish tacos (grilled), shrimp tacos (grilled), carne asada taco, and nachos. The fish and shrimp tacos usually come battered fried, but I opted for grilled. I really like the shrimp taco. The shrimp tasted fresh and cooked just right. The shrimp had a crispness when you bit into it. The fish was ok, it wasn't the best. The fish was kind of mushy, maybe, but not. I'm not sure how to explain it. It was good to eat, and it was ok. The asada taco was a little over cooked, a little tough. The nachos were really good. Our protein choice was the pork. The pork was very tender. I enjoyed it.

First timer here at Netillo's Takos. In terms of flavor I thought it was good, but the tortilla fell apart for all of them when I picked them up before taking a bite. I had to try their bestseller the Mariachi taco and liked it. I would had liked more slaw on the fish taco. I enjoyed the birria dip, but for the shrimp taco it was a bit salty for my liking. Got everything to go, so it came out pretty fast. Still recommend you giving them a try yourself. Note: Their tacos are only $1 on Tuesdays! r: * Mariachi (4/5) * Birria (4/5) * Shrimp (3.5/5) * Fish (3.5/5) The extra star rating is for customer service.

Netillo's Takos was first founded under the name of Flakos Takos by a pair of siblings in 2016. Since its inception, it has grown to two brick-and-mortar locations - one in Elk Grove, and the other in Downtown Sacramento. Netillo's Takos is a Mexican restaurant with an emphasis on both authentic flavor and quality fast service. Their menu has a wide variety of offerings from tacos to burritos, to quesadillas, and even some less traditional items like their quesapizza. Their Elk Grove location is located at the corner of the Laguna 99 Plaza with plenty of parking, which made it a breeze to get to. I arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon looking for a bite to eat. I decided to go with one of their birria tacos, and one of their fish tacos, an order of carne asada fries, all paired with their jamaica (hibiscus) drink. Between the two, I'd have to say the birria was definitely my favorite. The flavorful slow-cooked meat paired with melted cheese and the side of broth was absolutely to die for. I savored every bite of this taco, and this'll definitely be a go-to item for me in the future. Their fish taco provided a refreshing compliment to the rich birria taco, as the light fresh flavor of the fish paired perfectly with the cabbage and sauce on top. The carne asada fries were a little on the drier side; however, still proved flavorful and an enjoyable meal overall. I will mention that their tacos are definitely on the pricier side (at least in my opinion, but I've also been spoiled with the beautiful of low-priced tacos in southern California, so my benchmark may be a bit skewed). The jamaica drink was light, cool, slightly sweetened, and very refreshing for the warm Sunday afternoon. I've always been a fan of jamaica tea and drinks after my trips to Nicaragua, and the beverage offered by Netillo's Takos definitely took me back to those days. For those who have never tried hibiscus before, it has a tart, almost cranberry-like flavor - if that sounds like it'll be your cup of tea, then I'd highly recommend giving it a sip! If you're looking for some delicious authentic Mexican food in the Sacramento area (which in my opinion can be a challenge to find), Netillo's Takos is the restaurant for you!

This place has been around for what feels like forever and I haven't been in such a long time. A Yelp Elite event brought me back and we ordered a lot of extra things and enjoyed each one! The cashier was very helpful and explained every single thing that was on each item we ordered. The menu is straightforward but has some specialty items too. -Half quesapizza: when we ordered this she said it was a quesadilla so I am not sure why they have both quesadillas and quesapizza on the menu or what the difference is. But this one seemed to have a crisp exterior which we enjoyed. It's loaded with meat and cheese and comes with a nice amount of pico de gallo and sour cream, but the winner with this was the orange chipotle sauce from the salsa bar! -California burrito with hot Cheetos: wish they put more hot Cheetos! When I opened it up it was just on one side. It could've have been bigger overall for $10.99 but otherwise it was tasty and had a good proportion of meat and French fries. I have seen some complaints about wait time here but didn't have that issue at all. We ordered at lunchtime on a weekday with just a couple people ahead of us and got all our food in about 10-15 minutes. I did notice we never got any chips even though there was a big advertisement saying you get free chips with a purchase of over $15 or 20 I believe, which we definitely spent over $20. But the salsas from their grab your own bar were all so good! I could've used the chips to enjoy more of the salsas. But otherwise I enjoyed our return experience here and we will be back for that quesapizza!

Ambiance It is a little dated had old tables and chairs. Probably from another restaurant. Very clean. Upbeat Mexican music playing I luv it, makes u happy, makes u wanna dance. Mariachi taco Bacon wrapped shrimp with tomatoes and sauce. The bacon had a little crunch and the shrimp cooked perfectly. Just an explosion of flavor. Jamaica drink not overly sweet. Very good. Diana provided great customer service. She also recommended the birria taco. These tacos are the best I have had in recent history. Will return when in area.

Two words: mariachi taco. Get it! It's bacon wrapped shrimp in a flour tortilla. The bacon is crispy, adds a nice crunch. Delicious! The fish taco also comes in a flour tortilla and you can get it fried or grilled. I got grilled. The fish was cooked well but the mariachi taco was superior. Tuesdays they have tacos for $1. Tried carnitas, adobada, chicken and carne asada. You must buy a minimum of 5 tacos. The meats all had good flavor and it was made fresh. The horchata was also refreshing. It's a small restaurant and the staff was friendly.
